Farnsworth Art Museum

The Farnsworth has been around since 1948 and has a collection of American artwork ranging from painting to sculptures and has over 20,000 square feet of gallery space. They have an immense collection and rotate exhibits throughout the year. 

First Friday Night Art Walk

On the first Friday of each month from June through September, local art galleries open their doors for folks to have an evening of art! This usually involves taking your time and moving about between galleries where often wine is served. Not a bad thing to do before a dinner reservation!

Rockland Breakwater

This 0.8 Mile long Army Corps of Engineers structure was built in between 1880 and 1900 as a breakwater structure to aid in protecting the harbor. It is make large granite rocks and is truly stunning. Hard to beat a sunrise stroll on the harbor like this!
