The Peoples' Real Estate Agent

I thrive where the land meets the sea; combining a degree in marine sciences with five years of conservation experience where I specialized in hiking trail layout, design, and maintenance. I  have explored the State of Maine from Camden Hills to Grafton Notch, from Deboullie Parks to Mackworth Island. The time spent serving the State has provided me with well-versed knowledge of land use, property boundaries, soil types, tree species, and the ability to communicate a shared vision. In addition to my love of the woods, my degree in marine sciences from the University of Maine provides a deep and wonderful knowledge of the coastal environment, of which I call home. My attention to detail and willingness to help others can be exemplified by my three years spent as a Ski Patroller at Sugarloaf Mountain. Currently, I spend my Wednesday evenings as a volunteer DJ at Rockland's community radio station, WRFR. I am extremely passionate about working to create a shared vision with my clients as I believe the true success of buying or selling real estate is formed by clear and timely communication.

This is my first Field Team with the Maine Conservation Corps! We are standing in the parking lot in front of Table Rock Trail in Grafton Notch State Park. We were tasked with installing stone stair cases in heavily eroded steep sections of the trail. I should mention that prior to doing trail work, I was a landscaper on a hardscape crew so some backwoods masonry was a blast!

Here we are up on Table Rock looking south at a panoramic ridgeline that is the boundary to Mahoosuc Notch with Old Spec Mountain on the right. Not a bad place for lunch!

Although you cannot see the stairs because my team is sitting on them, you can probably tell that this is a steep section of trail. We have some edge rock on the left supplemented by some rip-rap to help stabilize and hold in the hill-slope on the high side and prevent further erosion. Also, some very stoked team members for their accomplishment!

Here is a beauty of a staircase constructed by my third team! This is in Sullivan Maine in the Long Ledges Preserve, which is owned by Frenchman Bay Conservancy (some great folks). Although this looks steep, the trail system is fairly low intensity and is worth a stroll if you are in the area. Want something more exciting, check out Tunk Mountain on rt. 182 in Cherryfield for some great panoramic views and some neat stone stairs! Or, give Cutler a go on the Cutler Coast Public Reserve for a nice oceanside loop!

Need some trail suggestions, give me a call :)
